🔔 Public Announcement from the Buddhist College of Canada (BCC)
Opening the Path: Introductory Dhamma Pathways for All
The Buddhist College of Canada (BCC) is pleased to announce a new initiative:
Introductory Dhamma Pathways—a series of foundational courses now open to the general public.
As part of our commitment to making the timeless wisdom of the Buddha accessible to all, BCC is offering select foundational courses from its accredited academic programs in formats designed for broader audiences. These courses are ideal for spiritual seekers, lifelong learners, or experienced practitioners wishing to deepen their understanding of the Dhamma.
Introductory Dhamma Pathways are drawn from BCC’s core academic curriculum and adapted into accessible public formats—including lecture series, micro-credential courses, and community Dhamma classes. Participants may receive certificates of participation or micro-credential recognition, depending on the course structure and duration.
Whether you are beginning your journey or returning to deepen your insight, these pathways are designed to support authentic engagement with Buddhist teachings in a structured and supportive environment.
🌱 Launch Offerings:
1. LBP-101: Theravāda Liberation Path
A Fundamental Introduction to Gautama Buddha’s Way
This 8-week course introduces the ancient path out of saṃsāra rediscovered by Gautama Buddha—from the understanding of dukkha to the culminating in the realization of Nibbāna-dhātu, the deathless realm. This course integrates doctrinal teachings, scriptural reflection, and meditative practice to awaken insight and disenchantment. Designed for both sincere seekers and practicing Buddhists.
2. SND-101: Sound Meditation
Healing Through Vibrational Awareness
This experiential course explores the meditative and therapeutic dimensions of sound. Participants engage in guided sound meditation using traditional instruments and vocal harmonics, cultivating somatic presence and inner stillness. A unique integration of contemplative listening and energetic awareness.
3. RMF-101: Right Mindfulness (Sammā Sati)
Training in the Foundations of Mindfulness
Grounded in the Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta, this course offers structured training in the Four Foundations of Mindfulness—body, feeling, mind, and Dhamma. Emphasis is placed on cultivating mindfulness as a liberating force and applying it skillfully in daily life. This is a core practice path for both concentration and insight.
📌 How to Join
These Introductory Dharma Pathways are open to the public by registration and do not require enrollment in a full academic program. Courses are offered online or in person, depending on format and location.
