Viriya, Chi, and Prana are synonymous with the concept of life energy. Viriya, derived from Pali and Sanskrit and related to the Latin word vita, meaning life, gives rise to the English term vitality, representing the essence of life energy.
In the teachings of the Pali Canon, viriya is highlighted as a crucial factor in cultivating samadhi and developing psychic abilities. It is one of the five mind forces 五力 (Saddhā, Viriya, Sati, Samādhi, Paññā) that guide individuals towards liberation from the cycle of samsara. Viriya is also one of the four foundational elements in the pursuit of psychic powers 四神足. The chanting of the first precept, Panatipata veramani sikkhapadam samadiyami 不杀生, emphasizes the preservation of Prana, or life force, as a vital aspect of ethical conduct.
Chinese tradition has long emphasized the cultivation of Chi as a means of personal transformation and ascension towards higher realms 修仙. However, the scarcity of resources necessary for such pursuits in modern times renders individual success challenging without external assistance.
In German culture, the concept of vril, derived from viriya, gained prominence through figures like Maria Orsic, who established the Vril Society in the 1920s in Berlin. The group purportedly used this energy to develop psychic abilities. Together with their long hair as antenna, they successfully established communication with the Aldabrans. The Aldabrans are part of the race of Man that are considered ancestral “gods” of humanity. They used to live in the Sumeria area, now Iraq, and possibly left six thousands years ago. The successful interstellar travel undertaken by Maria Orsic and her group is not the most challenging part. They were required to perform genetic restoration procedure to adapt to the higher dimensional environment, showcasing a contemporary interpretation of ascension supported by external assistance 助力.
It is crucial to prioritize viriya in both our daily routines and spiritual pursuits. Ensuring ample rest and relaxation, particularly in natural settings, helps to ground ourselves, maintain emotional equilibrium, and achieve physical fitness. Additionally, maintaining a healthy diet is essential for replenishing nutrients and sustaining overall well-being.
